VANGEST is expanding its industrial complex and is building another facility. This will be lucky building number 7, because it will be our biggest building in our industrial complex. We will soon have another state-of-the-art facility as we answer to the market’s demands and continue to adapt to the evolving industry. Our capacity will grow and we will continue to invest in the latest technology machines to produce the best results. The architecture company, Harchi, stepped in to design the new building for VANGEST.
Harchi has been in the VANGEST Group for almost 30 years and is a highly reputed boutique architecture firm in Portugal. Harchi has vast experience in providing design solutions for industrial and residential projects.
Harchi uses the power of design to create a better space for greater productivity and wellbeing. With its contemporary design aesthetic, Harchi modernizes the Portuguese landscape but at the same time respects the integrity of traditional scenery.
For lucky building number 7, Harchi took a slightly different approach to design. Industrial spaces are usually segregated with clearly defined areas and each area has a specific purpose. But in this project, the areas blend into each other and are integrated in an intelligent manner that still allows for an organized flow. The integrated spaces were designed to increase efficiency and at the same time allow for a systemized structure.
With so much activity happening on the inside of the building, Harchi wanted to contrast this by showing a sense of lightness on the exterior. Industrial buildings are big and can look “heavy”. But Helena Serrador, head of Harchi, wanted to make the building look as if it were floating. She was inspired by spaceships and their mythical ability to hover. She was inspired by the future, because VANGEST is building the future!
Stay tuned to see the completed lucky building number 7!
